Making paper bag books with your child is a fun way to provide a literacy experience as well as a creative art project. You can write down the words as your child tells the story. Then let your child illustrate the pictures!
Instructions:
1. Use three lunch sized paper bags lay them on top of each other with alternating ends. Fold them in half and punch two holes on the folded side about one inch apart.
2. Place the paper bags on top of each other, forming a book. Fold the book closed and put ribbon through the holes and tie them in bows.
3. Now its time to write and decorate your book! Be creative by gluing things on to the pages. You can also use the open end of the book as a hiding place for extra pictures!
